The Finnish clothing chain, Kekäle, has selected Stora Enso as its RFID tag provider, using the sustainable ECO RFID Tag Technology by Stora Enso in its all its operations. With a selection of over 100 high-quality brands, the collaboration enables Kekäle to gain the benefits of RFID in an environmentally conscious way.
With a strong focus on environmental responsibility, Kekäle has selected Stora Enso as its RFID tag provider, using only sustainable ECO RFID tags in its operations. The patented and award-winning ECO RFID tag technology by Stora Enso allows printing of an RFID label to a renewable paper, without plastic layers and harmful chemicals found in traditional RFID tags. This will provide Kekäle with all the benefits of RFID, such as improved inventory control and related cost savings, with up to 40% reduction in CO2 emissions.
“This decision to start using RFID in all our stores was based on the idea that we could be faster, more efficient and most importantly: serve our customers better. Stora Enso RFID labels were a good choice for us to also ensure these minor, but important, steps towards a more sustainable future,” explains Eetu Karppanen, CDO at Kekäle.
